Revenue increase YoY in July 2026 vs 2025

01

The Brief:

Drive direct bookings for
Woodthorpe after building a new booking system and a shiny new website.

Following the launch of a new website and booking system for our client Woodthorpe Leisure Park in Lincolnshire, the focus shifted towards increasing direct bookings and reducing reliance on third-party booking platforms. With ParkSpark‘s revenue and occupancy reporting in place, performance could be tracked more closely, allowing campaigns to be planned around real booking trends and opportunities. The priority was to drive more guests through the park’s own modern booking experience, making the journey from discovery to booking easier while retaining more bookings directly.

02

The Solution

The ParkSpark magic.

Using real booking data to power targeted Meta and Google campaigns that put direct bookings first.

Using ParkSpark’s revenue and occupancy reporting, we identified booking trends, gaps and opportunities and used these insights to shape targeted campaigns throughout the season. Meta and Google Ads formed the core of the strategy, supported by SEO and ad-hoc email and organic social campaigns. Activity was continually aligned with seasonal demand, accommodation types and priority booking periods, directing customers straight to Woodthorpe’s new website and booking system.

03

The Results

Huge percentage uplifts in direct customers…

The direct-first approach delivered significant growth. During the first six months of 2026, direct bookings increased by 875%. Bookings between April and July increased by 126% YoY, while July revenue rose by 129% YoY – demonstrating the impact of combining a better direct booking experience with data-led digital campaigns.

Revenue increase YoY: July 2026 vs. July 2025.

Having access to real-time revenue and occupancy data means marketing decisions can be based on what’s actually happening at the park, rather than guesswork. In this case, those insights helped identify where the biggest opportunities were and gave the team the confidence to put direct bookings at the heart of the strategy. The growth speaks for itself.
